I made this mobile UI in 1 hour and 30 minutes as a fun personal project. The goal was simply to come up with an idea and design as much of it as I could in the given time.
Project Overview
Have you ever tried to do work at a coffee shop only to find that there are no outlets and the largest table in the entire shop is the size of an iPhone mini? Or maybe you've gone to a coffee shop expecting to sit down and have a nice chat with a friend only to find the entire place is filled with people on laptops.
I created this app concept out of my own personal frustrations with both of these situations.
CuppaCoffee helps hypothetical users find the best coffee shops in their area based on the activities and physical experience they're looking to enjoy.
The Design
The design for CuppaCoffee was inspired by apps like google maps, beli, airbnb, and yelp. It aims to provide a similar search experience but cuts right to the chase by simply telling users what amenities the coffee shop provides and how to get there.
The app also gives users the ability to save their favorite coffee shops or filter their search based on the amenities that are important to them (including how pretentious the coffee making process is).
